A Room With A View Casa Mar Lodge faces Laguna Agua Dulce (Sweet Water), a fresh water lagoon where tarpon can often be seen rolling right from the dock. Dinner is served family-style in the dining room and meals are home-cooked by our local chefs. At Casa Mar, we serve American food and local dishes, so you’re guaranteed to find something you like. Homegrown treats such as pineapple, breadfruit, bananas, papaya, mango, oranges, coconut, and other fruits are served in season. After dinner, guests retire to the Tarpon Room to relax and enjoy drinks, fishing stories, and the modern convenience of satellite television. Photographs of previous guests decorate the room narrating the 30-plus year history of the first and most widely acclaimed lodge in Costa Rica.
